Solem & Associates, one of California's most respected independent public relations and public affairs firms, is seeking a summer intern. The intern will work closely with our media relations team to execute successful media relations campaigns for our wide array of clients.
For more than two decades, our creative thinking and commitment to producing outstanding results have earned us repeated awards and numerous prestigious accounts. Solem & Associates offers services to clients in a broad range of industry, business, government and nonprofit sectors. We specialize in energy/public utilities/telecommunications, healthcare, transportation, and land use/development.
The ideal candidate would:
- Have strong writing skills
- Be an effective communicator
- Be detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, and proactive
- Feel comfortable juggling multiple tasks at a time
- Think outside of the box
- Have strong Internet research skills to track trends, prior coverage, reporters' specialties, etc.
Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Writing drafts of press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, executive bios
- Compiling clips
- Creating and maintaining media lists
