| Solem & Associates Hits 30 |
|
Nearly 400 political leaders, clients past and present, journalists and other friends celebrated Solem & Associates' 30th anniversary at a City Hall party March 1. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Treasurer Bill Lockyer, California Public Utilities Commission President Michael Peevey, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, and former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown were among those who sent greetings or joined the party, which featured Rep. George Miller's DVD of himself doing a Don Solem parody.
Here is the text of the City's proclamation presented at the party, declaring March 1st as Solem & Associates Day: |

|
Whereas, over the past 30 years Don Solem and other Solem & Associates staff members have worked numerous hours on civic activities, advised thousands of clients, and attended thousands of dinners, fund-raisers, and government meetings in the community; now
Therefore be it resolved that I, Gavin Newsom, Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco, do hereby declare March 1, 2007, in honor of Solem & Associates’ 30th anniversary as…
